It's Just Movies

I have to admit it — I am really excited for “Sex and the City 2.”

That being said, all of the posters I have seen for the movie are kind of ridiculous — including the one below.

“Sex and the City” fans know that in the SATC world, Carrie Bradshaw (Sarah Jessica Parker) is a goddess … something I think they are trying to show in this poster. But, come on … this isn’t some epic movie like “Clash of the Titans.” It’s your basic TV-show turned movie rom-com.

I get the desert thing, considering part of the movie takes place in Abu Dhabi … though no clue as to why. Everyone’s being hush-hush about the details of the movie, but here’s what we know: there’s some sort of ’80s flashback (or at least ’80s costumes) per released photos, Samantha (Kim Cattrall) has a new boy toy and Carrie’s ex-flame Aidan (John Corbett) is back — possibly to meddle in the marriage of Carrie and Big (Chris Noth)? There’s also been whisperings that someone’s pregnant — my bet’s on Carrie!

Oh, yes — and there’s sure to be tons of terrific fashion, courtesy of Carrie, Samantha, Charlotte (Kristin Davis) and Miranda (Cynthia Nixon).

Hopefully, Carrie will leave sunglasses she’s carrie-ing (get it? so witty!) in this poster at home. Love the dress, though, SJP!
