In this short, you will find a man who has lost his love and in turn goes out to find her in the night of Hong Kong. He learns that the love he feels for this woman is nothing other than a love for this city, and that this woman is nothing other than the city itself.
Jean-Julien Pous is the writer/director of this poetically ambiguous ode to sensuality and seduction. He stated that he wanted to do an erotic short because the genre was very underdeveloped in animation. He has succeeded very well in his attempts to create such a film.
Throughout, the short is spoken in French with subtitles in English. This forces you to read the dialogue instead of watching the animation, which is my only gripe with the film. The art style of the animation is really amazing as is the short itself; for me it is very pleasing to the eyes.
“Seeking You” received many official selections in Film Festivals around the world.

That was interesting. Thanks for posting it!
Very unusual.
Mr. DeFeis!
I disagree with you a little.
I think those subtitles are the greatest – the animation is okay, but what is written, for me, is the true state of the art … of writing.
I like it, but the symbolism at the end seemed to detract from the strong start.
The animation was done well, really well. It may not be my style, but the idea seemed to be executed flawlessly.
Overall it’s a strong exhibition piece, but I have the feeling that I’m outside of this target audience.
