Six Clips from ‘Green Zone’

— by ALEXA MILAN —

Matt Damon and Paul Greengrass may not be signing on for a fourth installment of the “Bourne” series, but that doesn’t mean their collaboration is over.

Greengrass directs Damon in the Iraq-set thriller “Green Zone,” in which Chief Warrant Officer Roy Miller (Damon) discovers an elaborate cover-up while searching for weapons of mass destruction. Miller goes rogue as he tries to uncover the truth with the help of New York Times foreign correspondent Lawrie Dayne (Amy Ryan).

Their search for answers grows more dangerous as the region becomes increasingly more unstable. Brendan Gleeson, Jason Isaacs and Greg Kinnear also star.

I loved the Greengrass-directed “The Bourne Supremacy” and “The Bourne Ultimatum,” and his gritty, shaky-cam technique should serve a war thriller like this well. Riding off of the success of the “The Hurt Locker,” more and more moviegoers might be willing to give an film revolving around the war in Iraq a chance.

“Green Zone” opens March 12.
