In “Ceremony,” Sam (Michael Anagarano) convinces his former best friend Marshall (Reece Thompson) to revive their friendship by going to a beachside mansion owned by documentary filmmaker Whit (Lee Pace). What Marshall doesn’t know is that Sam has ulterior motives — to win back his older ex Zoe (Uma Thurman), who is set to marry Whit.
Sam seems like a funny, genuine young guy who truly loves Zoe, while Whit, though loaded and famous, is the kind of guy who screens his newest film at his wedding reception. Is there really much of a choice here for Zoe?
Methinks not, but we’ll have to wait and see for sure. The “Ceremony” can be caught On Demand on March 4, but it opens nationwide on April 8.
