When “The Simpson” first aired, I couldn’t get enough of it. But, for whatever reason, I stopped watching it for a number of years (at least a decade, I would guess).
I caught up with the 20th anniversary special hosted by Morgan Spurlock more than a year ago, but I didn’t watch the show past that. I started watching again with the Jan. 9 episode this year (I can’t remember why) and have been watching again since. Like many, I thought the show was well past its prime, but there have been some great jokes in these past few episodes.
The show that aired Sunday, though, was an all-timer for movie lovers — especially for those who watch award shows. I really don’t want to give away much here because the fun is in the surprises (the short film parodies are a definite highlight), but if you watch the Golden Globes and the Academy Awards, a lot of the jokes in this episode will leave you laughing.

I will second this. It was a fantastic episode. The parodies were classic!
I’ll have to give it a watch!
That was hilarious!
