In “Sacrifice,” a drug ring sends statues of the Virgin Mary made of heroin to the United States. Wanting to keep himself and his sister Angel (Arcadia Kendal) safe, young drug dealer Mike (Devon Bostik) tried to get out of the trade, but ends up getting killed in the process. After Mike dies, undercover cop John Hebron (Cuba Gooding Jr.) finds himself in charge of the case and the 5-year-old girl.
However, the drug lord ends up kidnapping Angel and says he’ll kill her unless John helps him.
What is Gooding doing in this straight-to-DVD flick that also stars Christian Slater as a priest? Your guess is as good as mine.
Written and directed by Damian Lee, “Sacrifice” will be in stores on April 26.
